Cortés is accessible by ferry from Quadra. From the Cortes ferry landing follow the signs to Smelt Bay and Hollyhock. The road is winding and you must make several turns - do not go to Squirrel Cove. The road to Hollyhock is on the left (Highfield Rd.), about 18 kilometers (11 miles), from the ferry and it is well marked. Total travel time from Vancouver is about seven hours and from Seattle about ten hours. Vegetarian breakfast or lunch $12, dinner $18 + GST.
